An electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) is a noninvasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart. We use this to check for any type of irregular heartbeat or blocked arteries and to make sure no segments of the heart are too large or fatigued. Our physicians may recommend an EKG if you are experiencing chest pain, have a family history of heart disease, or simply for preventative care.

If you would like to schedule an electrocardiogram or consult with one of our physicians, please give us a call at 407-345-0005 or request an appointment online today.

Pulmonary function tests (PFTs), also known as spirometry or lung function tests, are a group of noninvasive breathing tests that check how well the lungs are working. These measure your ability to breathe and how well your lungs can bring oxygen to the rest of your body and remove carbon dioxide from your blood. Your physician may recommend pulmonary function tests to:

  • Help diagnose asthma, respiratory infections, COPD, lung cancer and other conditions
  • Decide whether to proceed with certain surgery or medical procedures
  • Monitor treatment and effects of chronic lung diseases
  • Aid in preventative healthcare
